What Is OB/GYN?
OB/GYN stands for Obstetrics and Gynecology, a medical specialty focused on women’s reproductive health. Obstetrics covers pregnancy-related care, while gynecology addresses the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of conditions affecting the uterus, ovaries, cervix, and more.
While Gordon Memorial Health Services does not offer labor and delivery services, we do provide prenatal (prior OB) care, in addition to a wide range of gynecological services.

Surgical Procedures Offered
- Hysteroscopy – A minimally invasive procedure to examine the inside of the uterus.
- Dilation & Curettage (D&C) – Used for diagnosis or treatment of uterine conditions.
- Laparoscopic Hysterectomy – A less invasive surgical removal of the uterus using small incisions.
- Removal of Birth Control Device – Safe removal of IUDs or other implanted contraceptives.
- Laparoscopic Tubal Ligation – A permanent form of birth control using small surgical tools.
- Diagnostic Laparoscopy – Used to view internal organs and diagnose pelvic pain or infertility.
- Biopsies – Tissue samples taken to evaluate abnormal findings or symptoms.

Dr. Wendy Reeves is a board-certified obstetrician and gynecologist with a passion for providing personalized and compassionate care for women at every stage of life. She has extensive experience in general women’s health, offering services such as well-woman exams, contraception counseling, menopausal care, and the management of a variety of gynecologic conditions.
