We are pleased to welcome Jayne Nelson, DNP, APRN, FNP-C, to the Gordon Memorial Hospital District team. As a Family Nurse Practitioner, Jayne is committed to providing compassionate, patient-centered care and helping individuals and families achieve their health goals through prevention, education, and treatment.
Jayne earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice degree with a Family Nurse Practitioner concentration from Nebraska Methodist College in Omaha, Nebraska. She brings a diverse healthcare background and a passion for helping patients improve their health and well-being.
Before becoming a nurse practitioner, Jayne worked as a registered nurse in critical care settings, including burn trauma, cardiac care, and intensive care units. Her experience caring for critically ill patients has provided a strong clinical foundation and a comprehensive understanding of patient care.
In addition to her clinical work, Jayne serves as an adjunct instructor in the Doctor of Nursing Practice program at Nebraska Methodist College, where she helps educate and mentor future nurse practitioners.
Throughout her career, Jayne has focused on building meaningful relationships with her patients and providing individualized care. She believes in partnering with patients to develop treatment plans that support long-term health, healing, and wellness.
Scheduling Information
Jayne is currently completing orientation and onboarding and is expected to begin seeing patients at the Rushville Clinic by the end of June or early July. Additional information about scheduling appointments will be shared as her clinic schedule becomes available.
