At Gordon Memorial Hospital, our Laboratory Department is committed to providing fast, accurate, and reliable testing to support your health care needs. We’re here for you 24/7 for emergency testing and offer outpatient lab services Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM—so you can get the answers you need when you need them.

Our lab is CLIA-certified, and we use advanced equipment and technology to ensure top-quality care for every patient, whether you’re visiting for a routine screening or a specialized test.

Our comprehensive in-house services include:

• Chemistry – Tests for organ function, cholesterol, blood sugar, and more
• Hematology – Blood cell analysis to diagnose conditions like anemia or infection
• Serology – Detecting antibodies and infections
• Coagulation – Monitoring blood clotting, especially for patients on blood thinners
• Microbiology – Identifying bacteria, viruses, and fungal infections
• Urinalysis – Detecting urinary tract infections and monitoring kidney function
• Blood Banking & Transfusion – Blood typing, cross-matching, and safe transfusion services
• DOT Drug Testing – Certified urine drug screening for Department of Transportation compliance

Insurance & Prior Authorization

Some tests may require prior authorization from your insurance company. Please contact your provider before your visit to confirm if pre-approval is needed.

If a test requires prior authorization, your ordering provider must complete the paperwork before your lab appointment. We are unable to perform these tests without authorization.
