Facility Costs

Your bill from Gordon Memorial Hospital District covers services provided from the hospital, ER, Gordon Clinic, and Rushville Clinic. These services may include items such as: room, housekeeping, meals, nursing care and physician fees. Your bill will also include services ordered by your physician such as: medications, laboratory tests, X-rays, medical supplies, or other necessary items. 

Your hospital bill will NOT include charges from outside specialist. You will receive separate bills from these physicians' offices.

- Regional West for specialized lab like pap smears and biopsies (Phone Number: 855-633-2654)


Many health insurance plans have requirements for certain services called pre-certifications or prior authorizations. Information about these requirements can typically be found in your benefits packet. Prior Authorization requirements differ by insurance company. Authorized exams are not covered 100%, they are still subject to your benefit plans and provisions. We are responsible for verifying and completing necessary prior authorizations, but the final determination is at the discretion of the insurance company, they have up to 14 days for response and 72 hours for urgent requests. Common services that require prior authorizations include but are not limited to CTs, MRIs, Bones Density Scans, Surgical procedures, outpatient medications and more.

Gordon Memorial Health Services will submit claims to the insurance company you provided. After your insurance pays, you will begin receiving statements for any member responsibility remaining. If you believe you received a bill in error, please contact our billing department at (308) 282-0401 Monday-Friday 7am-5pm. Member Responsibility includes such plans and provisions as deductible, co-insurance and copays; please refer to your benefits packet or our “How insurance Pays Medical Expenses” flyer for more details.

Gordon Memorial Hospital, each Provider and both Clinics have network agreements with multiple insurance companies. Please click the link below to see the companies we are currently in-network with. We strive to be in network whenever possible, but it is your responsibility to check coverage and networks prior to enrolling and before a visit to any facility.

Please note the VA is by authorization only. They initiate all authorizations themselves. Emergency room visits are subject to a 72-hour notification which can be completed by calling 844-724-7842. This can be initiated by you or a family member. If the 72-hour notification is not completed the VA will not pay. We can initiate a notification on your behalf WHEN it is made clear on your ER demographics form that you are a veteran seeking payment through the VA.


Gordon Memorial would like to work with you to make the payments of your accounts as pleasant as possible. You will receive monthly statements for the services your health insurance company has deemed you responsible for.

Payments can be made four easy ways:
  1. Stop In- You can stop in at any time during business hours to talk with our Business Office and make a payment on your account.
  2. Over the Phone- Give us a call at 308-282-0401. We can take cards over the phone.
  3. Mail- Feel free to mail in a check. Please write the account number on the memo line of the check. Your account number can be found on the statement you received from us. 
  4. Pay Online- Regester for an Epay account online and pay anytime anywhere!

Financial Assistance

We here at Gordon Memorial believe that healthcare should be accessible to everyone in our community. If paying your healthcare expenses is creating financial hardship for you, we want to work with you. Patients who find themselves struggling to pay for all or a portion of their medical care may apply for financial assistance. Please call our Business Office at 308-282-0401 for more information.
