Acute care is a level of health care in which a patient is treated for a brief episode of illness, injuries, medical conditions, or recovering from surgery. Acute care is considered short term and the goal of acute care is to restore the health and stability of the patient. Once this goal is achieved and the patient is medically stable he/she may be discharged.

The Acute Care Unit is staffed 24 - hours every day with a professionl nursing staff and hospitalist coverage. Additionally several specialists are on call 24 - hours a day which includes Physicians, Radiologists,and Laboratory Technicians. Our around the clock care provides personalized care in a collaborative patient focussed environment.
