Visitor/Patient  General Information:

All visitors, patients, vendors, clients of Gordon Memorial Hospital will be screened for symptoms or recent exposure to COVID-19  prior to entry to the facility at one of two entry points: Main entrance at the front lobby or the Emergency Room Entrance. Clinic patients and visitors will be screened at the front entry of the clinic.

Masks are required in our healthcare facilities for those ages 2 years and older while in the facility and will be provided at no charge at the screening locations.

If you are experiencing signs/symptoms of COVID-19  and need medical care, are seeking testing for a recent exposure to someone with COVID-18  or are concerned you may have COVID-19, please call your provider at the clinic in advance of your visit.  If you need emergency medical services please go to our Emergency Room. 

Signs/ Symptoms of COVID-19 include:

  • Fever (greater than 100.4 F)
  • Cough
  • Shortness of breath, difficulty breathing
  • Recent unexplained loss of taste or smell
  • Muscle Pain or Body Aches
  • Headache
  • Sore Throat
  • Nausea/ Vomiting
  • Diarrhea


 Temporary Visitation Restrictions:


Due to the current situation with the Coronavirus Pandemic, GMHS will no longer allow visitors in the Hospital or Gordon Clinic, except for the following special circumstances: 

  • GMHS will allow one designated healthy adult (age 19 or older) in the following circumstances
  • Emergency Department needing special assistance (one person)
  • Pediatric or minor patient (one parent or guardian)
  • Dependent adult needing special assistance (one guardian)
  • Outpatient needing support (one if hospital staff cannot assist)
  • Patient receiving palliative/ end-of-life care (evaluated on a case-by-case basis)

For the safety of patients, visitors, and hospital employees, there will be no support persons for patients with a pending COVID-19 test, or with a confirmed COVID-19 diagnosis.




Entry after regular business hours:

All visitors must enter through the emergency room entrance between 5:00 PM and 7:00 AM Monday through Friday, and all day on Saturday and Sunday. This is to ensure all visitors to the hospital are being screened upon entrance to the hospital and are wearing a mask. The entrance to our Emergency Room is located on the  West side of the Hospital along 9th Street.
